About Division

Message from Chairman of Division of Separation Processes

Dear all,

I am Professor Ohto, Division President for Separation Processes in the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan, SCEJ. I would like to make efforts for next two years to contribute to the Division.

The Division of Separation Processes was established in 2003 to have provided opportunities for researchers and engineers to share the study method of separation in order to collaborate on research or to develop their knowledge. These activities have been supported and conducted by many dedicated members of the division. However, we had been suffered from COVID-19 for the past two years, which had limited our activities and achievements. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the members, particularly Professor Mikio Nomura as the previous Division President and Dr. Ryo Nagumo as the previous general clerk under the COVID-issue, who controlled the activities. Now, we know the merit of on-line activities to keep these. We should rearrange some activities as they were, together with rebuild the five subcommittees due to the decreased members and the increased tasks in keeping the activities, because we should be think-tank to solve the problems at all separation processes.
I would like to ask for contributions not only by academics but also company researchers.
