Distillation Subcommittee

"Distillation" is the most popular separation technology not only in petrochemical industries dealing with commodity chemicals, also in specialty chemical industries. In both technological and academic aspects, "Distillation" is thought to have fully matured compared with other separation technologies, though, the efforts to develop new processes, such as reactive distillation, heat integrated distillation, hybrid distillation, are still being continued for pursuing high separation efficiency.

The distillation subcommittee especially focuses on the understanding of the basic theories in distillation and promotes the industrial application of new energy-saving processes through the mutual discussion among the researchers and engineers.
